Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam
Visitor and contractor access requests go through the Pearl Harbor Pass & ID Office in Building 3455 at 1250 South Drive, next to Nimitz Gate (808-449-0865), open 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Since May 6, 2025, only REAL ID-compliant licenses and ID cards are accepted, and access is validated through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS). Schofield Barracks (U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii)
The Lyman Visitor Control Center on Lyman Road is open 24 hours (808-787-0941). Delivery drivers can get a one-day pass, valid until midnight, with a REAL ID-compliant ID. Every vehicle is registered when the pass is issued, and the driver needs a valid license, registration, safety inspection and no-fault insurance. The Army notes that Macomb Gate is not recommended as an exit for vehicles larger than a 15-passenger van. Source: USAG Hawaii visitor information.
Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay
The Visitor Contractor Center (Pass House, Building 1637) vets and issues day, short-term and long-term credentials, and issues contractor and vendor credentials 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday. DBIDS is required for contractors and other non-DoD personnel who need unescorted access. What the shipper needs to give us
- The installation, street address and building number
- The name and phone number of the on-base receiving contact or sponsor
- The unit or organization, and the contract or purchase order number if there is one
- The receiver's delivery window and any gate or parking instructions
- A bill of lading or packing list that matches the freight
- Piece count, weights and dimensions, and whether the site has a dock or needs a lift gate or forklift

Residential freight delivery in Honolulu

How a base or home delivery works
- Request a quote. Use the form below, call (808) 509-8160 or email freight@preferredhawaii.com with the pickup, delivery address, freight details and timing.
- We plan access and equipment. We confirm the gate, the receiving contact and the delivery window, and choose a lift gate truck, flatbed or forklift to match the freight and the site.
- We deliver. The driver checks in at the gate or building, unloads at the curb, garage or inside location agreed with the receiver, and gets a signed delivery receipt.
Equipment for base and residential deliveries
- Dry and refrigerated box trucks with lift gates for homes, offices and buildings without a dock
- Flatbed trucks and drop deck trailers for building materials and equipment going to base job sites
- Forklift delivery for heavy pallets at sites with no unloading equipment
